Planning to fly home to your family soon? Here are guidelines and protocols set by the IATF, Local Government Units, and Philippine-based airlines. The following are safety protocols to observe in Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Clark International Airport, domestic airports in Romblon, Legazpi City, Naga City, Cauayan City, Palanan town, Marinduque, San Jose in Antique, Laguindingan in Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, and the cities of Dipolog, Pagadian, Ozamiz and General Santos.

1. LGU requirements

It is advised to contact LGU of your origin and destination to check the required documents, safety protocol, and changes. Secure these documents and other requirements at least 2 weeks before your planned flight.

2. Mandatory health checks before and after the flight

Expect temperature checks and filling out health declaration reports at airports.

3. Mandatory wearing of face mask and face shields

All passengers must bring their own face masks and face shields to use at the airport and throughout the flight.

4. Bring your own sanitizers

You may bring hand sanitizers with maximum content of 70% alcohol, up to 10 pcs of 100mL as part of your carry-on.

5. Online check-in and mobile tickets are encouraged

To ensure ample time for security checks, domestic passengers are advised to arrive 3 hours prior to the departure from Manila.

6. Travel as light as possible

7. Newspapers and magazines will no longer be allowed on board, and duty-free sales will be limited.

8. Mandatory physical and social distancing

All passengers are advised to minimum contact at all times and in all places within the airport premises, and during all procedures, from check-in, boarding, inflight, disembarking to retrieving of check-in baggage.

9. Eat before boarding

Onboard meals will not be offered during the flight. So, make sure you have eaten enough to sustain you for the entire flight. Airport cafes and restaurants may also be closed or limited in operation.
